Take-Two: GTA 6 won't be delayed again — marketing blitz starts this summer
Take-Two’s fiscal Q4 2026 earnings call delivered the reassurance everyone wanted: GTA 6 remains on track for November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the company guided to record FY2027 net bookings of roughly $8.0–8.2 billion on the back of the launch. The reaffirmation lifted Take-Two shares about 5% in initial extended trading.
The more interesting comments came after. In a Bloomberg interview, CEO Strauss Zelnick said the game will not be delayed again, and revealed that Rockstar’s marketing campaign starts “when it’s summertime” — with Trailer 3 and pre-orders both expected as part of that push, and pricing announced alongside pre-orders. (Industry insiders separately speculated the push would wait until after the World Cup.)
Update, June 25: He was right about pre-orders — they opened June 25 at $79.99/$99.99. Trailer 3 is still pending — here’s where that stands.
Notably absent from the call: any mention of the persistent $100 pricing rumors — which the June pre-order announcement effectively resolved ($79.99 Standard, $99.99 Ultimate).
