GTA 6 Map: Leonida & Vice City Confirmed

GTA 6 is set across the state of Leonida — Rockstar's take on Florida, "The Goodtime State" — with Vice City at its heart and six officially named regions. Rockstar has not released an official full map yet; on June 18, 2026 — alongside the cover-art reveal — it teased a short aerial flyover of Vice City (in-engine footage, not a map image).

The six official regions Confirmed

Rockstar officially named and described all six regions on May 6, 2025, when Trailer 2 landed alongside a site overhaul with dozens of screenshots.

🌆 Vice City

The Miami analog and the game's urban core — in Rockstar's words, a city capturing "the glamour, hustle, and greed of America." Confirmed neighborhoods and landmarks include Ocean Beach (art-deco hotels and white sand, the South Beach analog), Little Cuba (the Little Havana analog), the Tisha-Wocka flea market, VC Port ("the cruise ship capital of the world"), Vice City International Airport, the returning Ocean View Hotel, and the Vice Beach barrier island.

🏝️ Leonida Keys

"The dress code is casual, the bars are loaded." A tropical archipelago of bridge-linked islands off the state's southern tip — the Florida Keys analog — sitting "on the doorstep of some of the most beautiful and dangerous waters in all of America." This is where protagonist Jason Duval lives and works for local smugglers — his home island is Key Lento, named in Trailer 2 and official screenshots.

🐊 Grassrivers

"The untamable jewel of Leonida's crown" — the Everglades analog. A vast subtropical wetland of swamps, mangroves and slow rivers best crossed by airboat, where "the gators may be the most famous attraction, but there are far deadlier predators and weirder discoveries among the mangroves." Watson Bay is a named settlement within it.

🏚️ Port Gellhorn

"Leonida's forgotten coast" — a faded Gulf-coast resort town of cheap motels, shut-down attractions and empty strip malls, running on "malt liquor, painkillers, and truck stop energy drinks." Named spots include the Starlet Motel, Gellhorn International Raceway, and Draper Island.

🏭 Ambrosia

"The battle for the health and wealth of Leonida begins here." An inland industrial company town in the heart of the state, next to the huge Lake Leonida, where, in Rockstar's words, "the Allied Crystal sugar refinery provides the jobs, while the local biker gang provides almost everything else" — a gang confirmed elsewhere in official material as the Final Chapter MC.

⛰️ Mount Kalaga National Park

"Room to breathe on the state's northern fringes." Forested hills, lakes and canyons along Leonida's northern border — prime hunting, fishing and off-road country where "hillbilly mystics and paranoid radicals live far from the prying eyes of the government." The closest GTA 6 gets to true wilderness.

Counties & other named places

Sharp-eyed fans have assembled county names from official trailer and screenshot signage: Vice-Dale County (sheriff's badge, Trailer 1), Leonard County (sheriff car livery, Trailer 1), Kelly County (I-404 road sign, Trailer 1), Mariana County (I-404 road sign, Trailer 2), and Ambrosia County. Confirmed The town of Waning Sands (east coast) also appears on official signage. Exact county boundaries, however, come from leaks and community mapping, not official material. Leaked

How big is the map?

Rockstar hasn't published a size — only that Leonida is "the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet." Community analysis of the trailers and leaked coordinates estimates roughly 2x GTA V's playable land (some analyses say up to 2.5x, with figures around 125 km² of land floated). Leaks also claim hundreds of enterable interiors. Treat all of these numbers as estimates, not facts. Rumored

The fan mapping project

The most detailed unofficial map is the community "State of Leonida" mapping project, which reconstructs the state from trailers, official screenshots and leaked coordinates — 1,600+ plotted points of interest and counting. When headlines mention "the GTA 6 map," they usually mean this fan reconstruction, not an official release.

We'll publish a full interactive map here when the game launches — and swap in the official map the moment Rockstar releases one.
